Richard Wallgren is Macklowe’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for properties that include 432 Park Avenue, 737 Park Avenue, and 150 E72nd Street. He is heavily involved with guiding design on these projects, working with the architects and Harry Macklowe himself to ensure successful sales.

Mr. Wallgren came to Macklowe from Brown Harris Stevens Real Estate. It was there, as Director of Sales for 15 Central Park West, that he oversaw sales on the most successful new condominium project in New York’s history, with sales aggregates exceeding $2 billion. Mr. Wallgren was also Director of Sales for the Time Warner Center Condominiums, another resounding success. In all, he has been one of the city’s leading brokers for over 10 years, representing both buyers and sellers all over Manhattan.

Interestingly, Mr. Wallgren arrived at residential real estate as a second career. He began his professional life as an investment banker, enjoying successful stints at both Salomon Brothers and Union Bank of Switzerland, where he specialized in commercial mortgages.

Mr. Wallgren is an active volunteer at various non-profit agencies here in Manhattan as well Washington, Ct. He was recently elected to the board of Village Care of New York, a non-profit organization serving the elderly in lower Manhattan.
